Sarah Boies has been instructing at ADA since 2005. She is currently a dancer with The Georgia Ballet in Marietta and will begin her fifth season in August 2009. A native of Baton Rouge, LA , Sarah received her early dance training with Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre and directors Molly Buchmann and Sharon Mathews. She also spent a year studying with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and director Marcia Dale Weary. Sarah has attended summer intensives at the School of American Ballet and Joffrey Ballet in New York City, Joffrey Ballet San Antonio, and Point Park University in Pittsburgh. Sarah has particularly enjoyed performing the lead in Cinderella, Myrtha in Giselle, numerous roles in Balanchine's Nutcracker, and the Four Little Swans. She won the choreography award at the 2006 Bravo! competition for Patriotic Extravaganza performed by the ADA Performing Company.
